Agree. It's not big money at all. I just didn't think they thought he was worth more than the ~$3.12mKeep in mind that they already tendered Elliss at $3.3M. So the reported $4.8M cap number this year only represents a small $1.5M increase in cap charge. And with still upwards of $70M in cap space once all reported signings are finalized, that hardly breaks the bank.
Will be interesting to see the full terms of the 2 year deal though. I wonder if it's the type of deal that means he'll truly be here for 2 years or if it's one that's set up to effectively be a 1 year deal with a team option.
