I almost commented on that type of reaction on x yesterday but maybe he was upset that he killed someone? We have to separate football from real life sometimes.

Shame/humiliation/dream is over, that's a heavy load to take on all of sudden...you don't value yourself but as a football player of unknown skills. And you're you're going to jail most likely.

I'm no clinical psychologist but I did stay at a Holiday Express last night and well, seems like it was a mental health crisis to me.

You knew this was going to be the result of NIL money! Poor kids suddenly being able to buy expensive muscle cars, having little to no experience behind the wheel of such a car. My first car was a 1976 Volare, slant 6, three on the tree, with an 8-track player, it couldn't outrun a Ford Maverick! His was a Dodge Challenger muscle car. He drove like an idiot, killed someone, and now was about to get arrested for murder. Then like an idiot he runs from the police (hint: you can't outrun the radio), then shoots himself instead of facing the consequences of his own actoins.

I'm sure he was, but then he didn't learn anything; apparently did something stupid with a firearm, and then ran from the cops.

I think I just have an issue with Mental Illness in the original post....Mental Illness and Mental Health are two different things.

At the beginning of the draft process, Lacy was considered by some to be a borderline top-100 pick. Damn shame all around.
