No offense Mike -
If you have been receiving threats of bodily harm don't interpret it as it coming from me and if you have been receiving threats of bodily harm then I feel sorry for you.
But, know this. You will lose readers because you clearly didn't do your research. If you knew anything about the EEOC and how individuals are covered and not covered if they have diabetes then your stories would have reflected that and then maybe there would have been a more clear discourse regarding your column.
In the end, you decided to use one source for your story which by the way was his agent which is hardly an impartial opinion and frankly, I would have given you a lot more credit in interviewing an impartial medical doctor who would have discussed the inherent risks of someone with TII Diabetes with the kind of bodytype that Kyle Love has.
It is too bad that you used that sole source of information because the moment that you decided to use Love's agent for this story, I am willing to bet that Kyle Love's agent didn't get permission from his client to release or discuss medical information relating to his diabetes condition because had the Patriots released that medical information then it could have been perceived as a violation of HIPAA.
You should admit it when you are wrong. This is clearly a case of that and it is not our fault that you don't have a supervisor who understands your lack of understanding regarding the EEOC provisions within the ADA laws of this country and how Love and the Patriots were to follow its rules based on covered employees and the undue burden that was presented in this case.

That is good Mike because I can tell you right now that if you think Belichick made this decision lightly regarding Kyle Love without getting an informed opinion from the team doctor or their attorney regarding the risks associated with Type II Diabetes then you are wrong.
Until you do a mea culpa, then the boys at patsfan.com and I are done with you. I have stopped following PFT because of your crap today and it is safe to say that no one expects an apology from you because you think that you are never wrong which by the way is a bad attribute for a sports journalist. Don't be surprised that you hear from Rodney Harrison as well regarding your columns.
BTW - it makes me wonder why you and MJD wanted to eliminate the comments section.
Good bye Mike and good luck with your future endeavors. I am sure that you will hear it from people that have worked with the Patriots.

Well guess what Mike -
Glad that you care how I spelled drivel. I hope that Stacy James and the folks at Patriot Place send a strongly worded letter to NBC regarding your so-called columns today.
You have earned it. Next time, you want to comment, do it with a little bit of accuracy. BTW - I am a Dan Patrick and NBC fan and I will be sure that this doesn't end with your so-called columns as well.
SIncerely,
A Liberal from Boston

Your so-called journalism regarding the Kyle Love story and then with the
Kraft's secondary investment into the Revolution is enough for me and just about anyone in New England to tell you that you should go **** yourself and never read another story of yours again.
I know for one that I am done reading your dribble and I can say that as someone who professionally left the field of sports journalism after working in Boston and Chicago because of xxxxxxxxxxxx like yours today.
Congrats. You just joined the ranks of Michael Felger and Tony Mazz.
If you don't do a mea culpa tomorrow in a column then we will all know where you stand.
