Well, after today, I think it's safe to say we have a full blown kicker controversy on our hands. It's a tough choice. We have Vinatieri who gets paid the big money and has made some clutch kicks for us. Then we have Doug Flutie who is playing for vet minimum and is CLEARLY the better kicker at this time. I say we cut Vinatieri and hold onto Flutie. He may be 43, but he's still got 5 years left in him if he's just handling kicking duties. He wouldn't even have to worry about kickoffs, Klecko could handle that for him.

I was hoping Vinatieri would get his 100 pts early in the game, I knew they'd pull him to put in Flutie when the game was really on the line

So we've got a QB who drop kicks extra points, a Kicker who throws TD passes
(AV vs St Louis), another QB who can punt (when did TB do that??)....
Somebody needs to tell Josh Miller he needs to multitask if he wants to stay on the team.....
I guess he'll need to throw a TD pass on a fake punt in the playoffs.......

I believe TB pooched in the snow game against Miami in 2003. It was perfect, downed within the 5 yard line.

BTW, anyone notice that whenever BB tries an outlandish stunt it works? The AV TD pass, the TB pooch, the Flutie dropkick, the Paxton safety snap? I can't remember any of BB's wild stunts ever failing - can someone come up with an instance?

I think it really speaks to BB's preparation of the team. If they're gonna pull a stunt, he makes sure it is quality tested tightly.

The only one I can think of not working was the surprise onside kick vs. the Colts.

Miller's multi-tasking is done off the field in public relations, though I hear he is crosstraining at NT.
