I don't see how he had no tackles (unless they don't count S/T tackles in the Game Center), but Washington was either directly involved or RIGHT THERE on several occasions today on S/T's. Less exciting, impressive and spectacular than the input of other newbies, but a good, solid job in his role today. I can certainly see why his skill-set trumped Reche's.

I think contract numbers had nothing to do with the roster decision. The numbers weren't nearly disparate enough to factor in. Or are you joking?
 
Yeah I saw him in on at least 2 ST tackles.
 
Yep, he's a livewire out there on ST.
 
Kelley Washington showed significantly more today on special teams than I felt he showed in pre-season.
 
Speaking of ST play, nice ball strip by Izzo. You know, the guy many folks here wanted to CUT.
 
Not true. Caldwell would have cost more (presuming a cut at the end of the season) than Washington.
