If he was released, salary wouldn't be an issue. (The Pats wouldn't trade for his salary: see below)

True; however, I doubt if he were released he would sign a lowball offer for around the veteran's minimum. Still would be an open market, and I'm guessing Winslow would make between 1.5-2.5M per year.

FWIW, Gregg Rosenthal from NFL.com thinks the Bucs will find no trade partners because of Winslow's knees and salary, and will end up releasing him:

If cut, I see no reason not to take a look though it's unlikely that BB would buy into all the baggage. But I agree with the statement earlier in this thread that he'll get more $$ and more playing time elsewhere.
