Falcons kicker Todd Peterson is a free agent, unestablished and being sought by few other than the Falcons. But when I watched him kick on Sunday Fox Football purgatory I saw good things, including against us.
Has anyone heard anything about this kid seeking offers?

I tweaked your quote a little

I read this morning that the Falcons are trying to get him to re-sign but I forget where I read it.

Could be a good option. His stats for the last 3 years aren't bad at all. 2003 made 80.0 percent, 2004 made 81.8 percent and last year 2005 made 92.0 percent (mostly in a dome). Only 2 things worry me; his age (36) I wouldn't want to sign him for anymore then 2 years tops and in 2002 he played in Pittsburgh and made only 57.1 percent of his kicks.

Yeah but everyone kicks like a jello-legged school girl in Pittsburgh.

Last report was the Falcons were pushing to re-sign him and he looks like he will return there.

If the Pats were to sign Peterson, they probably would have to carry a kickoff specialist for non-FG and PAT attempts.

He is a good K though.

This guy would be run out of New England by week 3 expect the Pats to go with a rookie.

I think so also, but thought I would see how this guy is in everyone elses ideas. Didn't know he was in the mid 30's.

For the record, and because the subject confused me momentarily:

K = Kicker
KR = Kick Returner

Petersen is horrible, horrible horrible. Steelers got rid of him in midseason for a guy that was working on a farm at the time.

I'll go with Edinger or Mare is he's released.
