The fact that Goodell has been playing tackle football since he was 7 is the most thorough indictment of youth football I've seen..

I can only wonder if he'd be less of a slackjawed sack of garbage if he'd stuck to a safer sport.

What this teacher could tell her class is that they should never cheat. She should also tell them that sometimes, you can be so good at something (it could be academics, sports, art, etc), that the other people competing with you will make up a negative story to make you look bad and them look better. When they hear a bad story about one of their classmates, they should listen, but also ask themselves if the person telling the story has a reason to lie.

Another teaching point that apparently has gone unheeded: when pursuing your goals, ignore the noise.
