From Florio.

BB has always been aggressive about signing players that helped opponents. How would he feel about signing a kicker that hurt an opponent?

Is he Shayne Graham insurance? Once one of the most accurate kickers in NFL history, he blamed the field for his bad kick. Maybe the Pats thought he was right. That's a well-known lousy field.

If another team is going to sign Reed, the most likely destination is the Jets. Folk has been pretty shaky this year.

As far as insurance for Graham goes, I can't see the Pats using two roster spots on kickers. It's either one or the other and right now I'd rather have Graham. It's true Heinz Field is a tough place to kick, but even after taking that into consideration I'm still more comfortable with Graham than I would be with Reed.

I think there are several teams looking for kickers - 49ers, Saints maybe
