JD, that is false. They tweaked the rule this year to include take downs via the collar of the Jersey.. And Butler did have the inside of the pads.

I think this horse collar thing is BS. I love it how the NFL higher ups and owners are turning football games into the ballet and no oneseems to care.

He had his collar, but also his shoulder which prevented this from being the classic horse collar yank down from behind. Welker was spun not pulled down onto himself. Non-call was correct there, IMO.
