Jalen Hurts: Opinions?

He’s a very good one/two look and run QB, he’s not dissecting the field and making multiple reads.

The Eagles team is amazing, that’s why they won.

He did his job and the team won because he did it very well and didn't try to do more than he was asked. That's just good ass football and I'll always appreciate a QB/football player that knows what needs to get done.

The Eagles are a lot like The Celtics. They have incredible players that all are doing what needs to get done to win: nothing less and nothing more. I think Tatum is a better talent at his sport, for sure, but he's not trying to score 30+ points every game, he does what needs to be done (and masterfully so.)

Hurts is a good football player. And he's talented enough to take care of things when it matters. I wouldn't want to put the ball in his hands and ask for a 35/40, 400 yd passing game - but why ask him to do that? The team doesn't need it.

I think this guy became one of my favorite quarterbacks in the league currently last night. I loved how stoic and cool he was last night and you could tell he was completely locked in the entire game. He didn’t really show emotion until the clock struck 0 and even when he got a touchdown he didn’t do a celebration pose. He gave it to his teammate and let him do the victory lap. This guy was not to celebrate until the game was over and I think he’s matured a lot. Two years ago in the Nfccg he was singing fly eagles fly. He got humbled and I think that loss matured him. What does everyone else think of him?
Dude is a stud. Now a proven winner. He outperformed Mahomes on the brightest stage. He's far more likable than Mahomes until the media starts kissing his ass. Then I might rethink it. But for now he's a hero and has fully deserved his Superbowl victory. He has always had leg talent, but now he has put it together with good game management and poised throwing of the football in key moments.

Jalen Hurts is gonna haunt Patrick Mahomes' dreams for years, and I'm here for it!!

Hey, Hurts did what good QB's do - he took his opportunity, in the biggest game of his life, and played great.

He's not (yet) a great QB, but he played great in the moment, and elevated his game. This win is completely on his shoulders.
Barkley was stonewalled, and Hurts won with his legs & his arm. Great for him.

He can still become a great QB, but at the moment, he has answered the question if he belongs in that top 7 active QB.
The argument becomes - is he better than Allen? better than Wilson? better than Lamar?
If I were to take over a franchise right now and Patrick Mahomes and Drake Maye are off the table, and I could just choose a QB to lead it, I would certainly strongly consider Jalen Hurts over those other guys.

Nothing new really. He plays very solid for years now. His play took a small dip when he injured his shoulder a year ago but very consistent overall.

My opinion? He’s a damn sight better than Uncle Dugg; though I wouldn’t have drafted him either.

And oh by the way, the act of pushing Anyone forward, Anywhere, at Any time, should be Prohibited.
