Mr Unlikely must have had a rough childhood with that name

I will say that the Ravens have perhaps the most extensive history of any team of letting players walk in FA, especially day 3 picks who cash in on 2nd contracts. Matt Judon is one of many examples. So it wouldn't shock me if they are not close with Likely and chose to extend Andrews, or if Likely does hot the FA market.
Yup, the Ravens most likely did not like Likely's contract demands so they resigned Andrews. Having said that, I would prefer Cade Otton.

Isaiah UnLikely seems a little Jekyll/hyde to me shows up one game disssapears the next.
I've already made my feelings known you know I want K. Pitts.. now close your eyes and imagine K..Pitts ans Drake and JMD.

It is fun to think about, but I'm not a fan of it. Likely will likely (pun) be looking for a long contract. As he should. But i don't like signing these mid players to mid contracts. You lock up money long term on a level of production you will probably not be that happy with.

To get stuck paying 4 years and 32M to a player you will be looking to upgrade in the next few years isn't a good investment.

I have always looked at offensive players in 2 tiers.

Tier 1 is a guy you always want on the field. True starters.
Tier 2 is support players. Guys who are a bit more specialized that you rotate.

If a guy isn't in tier 1 never over extend for him contract wise.

The current Patriots for instance look like this.

Tier 1 - Henry, Diggs, Boutte, Henderson - I think on most teams they would see a bunch of snaps no matter what. Diggs would see more if he was younger but due to age and saving him for the run they are only playing him half the time even with him being tier 1. Boutte is certainly a soft tier 1, but still tier 1 IMO and is worth paying. Though soft tier 1 guys have their own set of rules too IMO and you need to be careful with those contracts and not fool yourself with their value.

Tier 2 - Everyone else. I know Hollins sees a lot of snaps, but that is cause they have to go somewhere. He is clearly tier 2.

Personally I'd rather draft a guy. Maybe he won't be as good but at least he will be cheaper and have more upside. Also as long as it isn't a top 48 player or so you have no long term commitment cause the guaranteed money isn't there to force your hand.

I've already made my feelings known you know I want K. Pitts.. now close your eyes and imagine K..Pitts ans Drake and JMD.
I'm fine with paying Pitts. He isn't a true elite, but he will give you a level of play i am fine with them extending for in a long term contract and not looking to upgrade from. Which should be the standard for your TE1. Better to pay more for a guy you are happy with.

Isaiah Likely reminds me of the random emergence of Julius Thomas who also wasn't very athletic. I'd stay away.

I wouldn't touch Kyle Pitts. He's soft. Not a Vrabel guy.

Cade Otton very intriguing, if he reaches FA.

I'm mostly just kicking the can on Likely right now. For me, it mainly comes down to player evaluation: does the team think he is just a situational role player, or is he a guy who could thrive in the Pats offense?

2 guys the Pats spent big money on who thrived: Matt Judon and Milt Williams. Lots who have underplayed their contracts, as well.

I was on the Cade Otton train until he started juggling everything. I'm good now.

"That QB" threw for 4200 yards and 41 td's last year...

he's not drake "drake maye" maye, but eh, a team could do worse...
Jackson sucks, but fantasy football fans love him.

He has failed to move beyond what he is since entering the NFL. An Entertainer always in the MVP hunt.

Look at his 2024 stats beyond face value. 13 TDs were vs 2 teams. Don't leave out his 10 fumbles either. Next year his cap hit jumps to 70+ million.

He has managed to evade the orthopedic surgeon longer than any other of his brand of QBs like Mike Vick or RG3.

Likely to end up making plays that were always likely to be good but coming up short. It is incredible how many of such plays he has. Want a new TE from the draft please to grow with Maye.

Absolutely.. I see the skill set in Pitts, the raw talent, the WR like skill set he possesses. Henry probably will sign a 1 or 2 hr extension I feel as he's not only a good player but a great locker room guy. So bring in ok Pitts and then you have Henry and a rookie in the Draft at TE..

I'm on the Pitts train..

Both considered tier 1 2026 FAs..

I'm not against signing likely...but I'd prefer Pitts and his potential between the 2...

It's Bye week, and I'm bored.

Imagine what Drake Maye could do with Hunter Henry and Isaiah likely in 2-TE sets.

I don't know if he's the future at TE but it's Likely.

You do know that’s a fantasy football ranking, not a real football ranking?

I’m conflicted about Pitts. I see the potential you keep coming back to, but he hasn’t been able to learn a complete route tree. I don’t know if he could work with Josh.

If folks really want to splash money around in free agency, Brayden Smith (RT), Tyler Linderbaum (C) and Wyatt Teller (G) all might hit the market. Getting a new RT or interior lineman frees the Pats up more to take BPA in the draft than a TE does

DC,

Thanks for that i believe i may have attached the wrong piece. Thanks for letting me know. Absolutely agree on the OL.. aside from that the TE is a big part of the offense with JMD and Drake.. you do remember the How Hernandez was spectacular in this offense?.. I believe if a player has potential and chooses to come here in FA he can thrive. I'm just of the mind Pitts specifically as a pass catching TE does more for the offense and for Drake. Still draft a guy of course.

Strong no to Pitts from me. He will tease with potential, but he is soft through and through.

OL is a different story. Tyler Linderbaum would be #1 on ny list, though I think his chance of hitting FA would be astronomically lower than Likely.

Braden Smith would be a fine upgrade over Morgan Moses if the Colts ley him reach FA, and his loss would hurt a rival. But Morgan has been reasonably solid, and probably gas a year left. The 2026 draft gas a lit of good RT prospects who could start by 2027.

Wyatt Telker will he 32 and is on the downside of a fine career. He could vs good short-term upgrade if the price is right.

More like Isaiah Unlikely

Here's what I'll say.. both players are good and have potential to be even better.. FA 2026 I'm sure Vrabel contacts them both expressing interest.

Agreed on the everything else you posted.
