Is this the one year where losing Gronk for a period of time isn't a doomsday scenario?

As big of a game changing talent that Gronk is, I just feel like we have so many weapons this year that we can manage. Bennett is arguably a top 5 TE in football. He has his off days, but still lets us have a big threat in the middle of the field that D's have to account for.

Now that's a different story if we were to make the SB and face Seattle. We need him to beat Seattle, no question. But in the mean time, I feel this is still an elite offense even without him. Consider Bennett as also being Gronk insurance.

We shouldn't need him for the Jets but he'd definitely be nice. Need him back for Baltimore.

Dude, he's got some bruised ribs. He'll be back this week (Jets) or next (Rams). Don't sweat it.

I mean he is at Gillette so...

I'm still weary of that report. Just what was said seemed odd, "Patriots staff is prepping offense without Gronk"

So she has a source on the inside of Patriots Place that can tell her that the game plan for the jests doesn't include Gronk?

Plus to my recollection she has never been first with such news before and it is still unconfirmed. I can imagine a team guy not divulging anything and saying "we will be ready to go (with or) without Rob."

Yeah I'm skeptical of anything from the 4 letter Network, and now that we know Gronk is there in full pads at practice I believe it even less.

I think so. We already pretty much have the bye locked up. We can win alot of these games without him. With him in we go 13-3- I think.

It's not that I'm sweating it. I just understand that he has the injury history. It's all hypothetical, and has nothing to do with the current injury

I don't think we can win a Super Bowl without rob gronkowski. We saw that in 2011 2012 and 2013 when our offense got shutdown in playoff losses without him.

With MB, you'd lean towards "this IS that year". But, when you consider that the current D needs the O to be amazing - I'd say Gronk is still indispensable.
