What happened to Mr. Clutch? He isn't without any blame...or at least he shouldn't be.

dude has a bad game against a great defense and everyone loses their minds.

He played poorly yesterday, he knows it. Hopefully it improves. It's not like Brady's never had a bad game, remember this gem?

New England Patriots at Kansas City Chiefs - November 27th, 2005 - Pro-Football-Reference.com

That was a fun birthday.

I remember there being a few picks that bounced right into the chiefs hands but yeah pretty bad game. As bad as Brady was it doesn't matter if you have Sanchez back there or Joe Montana if the receivers can't catch a pass you aren't going to go very far.

Even the greatest have bad days. We just highly focus on it because it becomes such a rarity.

Brady has been a little off all year. When he throws his lasers there seems to be nothing wrong but all of his touch passes are off. He hasnt hit a deep receiver in stride all season. The receivers all had to make subtle adjustments. All of Thompkins deep catches cause him to drift out of bounds after the reception and I have seen countless underthrown balls.

Maybe Brady needs to find a replacement to his Tom Martinez replacement.

I don't think it is fair to evaluate Brady until later in the season when (hopefully) he has the chance to build a rapport with the new weapons. Also, the issues yesterday were caused for the most part by the inability of the line to deal with the interior pressure from Atkins and to a lesser extent, Hunt. Brady, like Manning, is a statue back there, he is not going to be effective if he is forced to move off his spot and improvise.

Nope. He hasn't been playing well for a while now actually.

Yeah, i mean those stellar numbers he put up to dobson, thompkins, mulligan, edelman, and amendola last year are Outshining what hes doing with them this year...

Wait a second, he only played with one of those people last year.

Lets see the defenses hes played this year

Buf, Jets, Bucs, Cincy, atl

Rank?

7(cincy)
8(tampa
14(jets)
20(buf)
20(atl)

Personally im shocked that a team with a bunch of rookies on offense had trouble against the #7 defense in the league. SHOCKED i SAY!

He's not getting any help, but no, he isn't playing like the GOAT at this point. Heck, through 5 games, he isn't even playing like an average NFL quarterback.

At this stage of his career, it is totally unfair what BB is doing to him by making him start over with a bunch of rookies and no good players at skill position.

That said, Brady didn't have a good game due to excellent D line play by Cincy. Guess GOATs also have off days. Not to mention the drops by his receivers, granted some bad throws too, and that freak show rain that poured down for exactly 2 mins of our O trying to tie the game

Me think Brady is in a way contributed to this issue by toting the company line every single time. If he threw a tantrum @ BB and Kraft about losing key players every 2-3 years, this may not have happened.

so its my signature... :bricks:

Brady coughs up a hairball a couple of times every season-sometimes against not great teams. I do think he was rattled by the early sacks and he never ever did get into any sort of rhythm. And the freak show rain, sometimes it just isn't your day...

Yep.

His accuracy isn't very good so far. Aside from the obvious lack of weapons and s hitty play calling.

Is Brady a running QB who can win with his legs? As BB himself said only weeks ago, it is virtually impossible, without a playbook, to tell what was designed on failed plays. If a receiver is executing a timing route, and the receiver doesn't get there on time, or gets there too early, then the throw looks off and the QB looks bad. That does not necessarily mean the QB did not execute precisely as designed. Last year, with veteran receivers, Brady was on the money. He did not simply lose all that in an offseason.

Anyone with any knowledge of the game would label the execution of the plays off. Drops are receiver mistakes, but can be QB mistakes if the ball is thrown too hard or soft for a given route or is off the mark and makes the catch more difficult than it should be. The rest could be Brady, or could be the receivers, or both. If Brady is holding the ball because the receivers cannot get open, then that is likely on the receivers. If he misses open men, then that is Brady. Given the fact he performed fairly well in Atlanta, I will not drop all this on him, or speculate as to whether the team could have put 30 or more points up in all games if he played well. I seriously doubt any QB in the NFL would play well under these circumstances as this is a learning curve with costly lessons for new receivers. The hope is the pieces come together and synchronize, as there have been flashes of good so far this year.

Note the seasons
