Yes common opponents is a tiebreaker. Not common opponents "within the division".

We have these common opponents: AFC East (Dolphins, Jets) + NFC South (Bucs, Panthers, Saints, Falcons) + AFC South (Titans, Colts, Jags, Texans).

Bills are 5-3 against that group - beat Dolphins twice, Jets once, beat Saints, beat Texans, lost to Titans, Colts, Jags.
Pats are 6-3. Beat Jets twice, beat Panthers, beat Falcons, beat Texans, beat Titans, lost to Bucs, Dolphins, Saints.

I'm not seeing how the Bills have this tiebreaker.

Ok yes, if the Patriots and Bills split, the Bills will win because they'll have the tiebreaker. But right now, the Patriots have the lead not just because of their extra game/higher win percentage, but because they have the head-to-head tiebreaker too. So if the Patriots beat Buffalo again, and the teams end up 4-2 within the division, and they have the same W-L, the Patriots win on head-to-head tiebreaker. Not "common division opponents"

So before you go around telling people to learn the tiebreaker rules, go learn them yourself

Here's what we know:

The Pats are leading the division and the conference. They are in complete control of their destiny.

The Bills do not win when it's a close game. They turtle, every time.

The Bills had a chance to show the world they are the new force to be reckoned with in the division while in their own stadium, with conditions that supposedly they thrive in because they're such badasses. They didn't. The Bills shrunk under the bright lights, as they have always done.

The Bills are now counting on beating the SB champs on the road, against a QB that has absolutely owned them his entire career, followed by going into Foxboro to beat a team they just lost to, to save their season. If Buffalo does these things, I will tip my hat to them and take them seriously as a contender. Until they do that, they are a waste of time to focus any energy on.

Hey.. I've been reading your responses and what not.

I just want you to realize... We willingly played you guys with one arm tied behind our backs. We never attempted to pass or diversify our offensive attack . It was 3 plays called over and over... to kill clock because we had the lead. In translation what Belichick was saying was "Josh Allen can't win you the game...I bet you ".....he was right. Now kudos to the dropped pass...yes Diggs had slow joe beat. On the same flip of the coin.... If we're playing what ifs... Damien Harris had a 20 or so yard run after his leg tweak where ..IF he didn't injure his leg (losing burst) he would have 100% been off to the house a 2nd time. If you can play that what if game...so can I.

I don't really get saying if you win the rest of your games, you win the division. Like, yea. The same holds true for New England. lol
