How is this possible? What's the hourly rate? Are they paying him during sleep time too? Wtf.

The NFL is wasting money like toilet paper. I think they should drop ticket prices.

The owners should be pissed their money was wasted on such nonsense. The owners were essentially fined over a million dollars a piece to finance the league minions vendetta's.

Roger Goodell has paid Ted Wells' law firm over $45 million in two NFL investigations according to @AdamSchefter.

Not a bad gig if you can get it.

Jeeeesus...then again one investigation was into the leagues dealings with the Rice situation and when they knew, and the other involved a number of shady league actions (the 'sting' aspect and media leaks). Maybe $45 million is enough to convince an 'independent' investigator to not dig too hard into league dealings? Certainly seems that way reading the Wells report, and I'm sure if we all read into the Rice investigation we'd see the same wrt that tape inside the elevator.

Mueller did the Ray Rice invesgiation. Ted Wells investigated all the bullying nonsense in Miami before this.

45 million doesn't get you what it used to. Back in my day you could get four investigations and a diet coke for that.

Ah, you're right...hard to keep all these 'pants on fire' investigations the NFL has conducted straight.

...that could have been used for Play60 and other great organizations that all NFL players support. What a colossal waster of money...

$45 million for both investigations or about $22.5 million per for a 103 day witchhunt.. That's $218,446 per day or $27,305 per hour for an 8 hour day. Even if his rate is $700 per hour, how do you rack up that big a bill???
And they could not find an associate to "control F" the word deflate????

EDIT- that's assuming they worked weekends..For a five day week it would be $300,000 per day or $37,500 per hour...
