I have not been a fan of Collinsworth since his "There are 3 things I don't believe in anymore" speech before the Chargers game in 2007. He sounded very hard pressed to credit anything to the Pats yesterday. For a guy who claims to live in the film room honing his craft, he seems not gain much wisdom or insight from his studies.

I can't remember what Collinsworth said, could you give more details? Thanks

We got away with a push by Edelman for his TD and a PI on Butler over the middle. Butler also made three great plays, he had a great breakup over the middle late and allowed the flukish catch that set up his spectacular play at the end.

Chris Matthews got away with a blanant push off on Arrington for a 45 yard completion to setup the FG.

Edelman's push was after illegal hands to the face by Simon.

Plain and simple refs let them play and you can't ask for more than that.

He said "There are three things I don't believe in anymore: Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and Bill Belichick."

He clearly assumed the Chargers, then a good team coming off the 2006 AFC Championship trip, were about to set the Pats straight. After the 38-14 beatdown of the Chargers, they cut to Collinsworth and he literally babbled incoherent mutterings for a few seconds before they cut back to the studio and said "Well Cris has had a tough night," or something to that effect.
