Well, not completely but today's the eagles parade and I'm working from home to avoid the mess in the city. I decided to go for breakfast at a local cafe and decided to wear my Pats Superbowl XLIX sweatshirt. Of course everyone else had their eagles gear on and were staring at me so it was slightly uncomfortable but no one gave me any problems. I made some realizations this morning. It is a chance for me to accept this with some class. Regardless of how we lost the game, I can react in the best way possible. I can show the eagles (and other) kids how to accept loss with grace, that this is after all, just a game. There's so much hate in the world already. Is this what we want to teach our kids? Is our sense of happiness really contingent upon others? So I'm going to continue ro proudly wear my Pats gear and keep congratulating the eagles fans on their happiness because my own happiness is not coming from somebody else's sadness. We're on to 2018.
