If you had to pick an MVP from a team other than the Patriots at this point, who would it be?

Just curious to see what this forum feels about the candidates on the other teams.

Matt Ryan, i find myself watching the falcons almost as much as the pats this year. Helps to have ryan and julio on the fantasy squads. Wouldn't mind Ryan winning the mvp but the falcons are inconsistently at best 11-5 so cant imagine the mvp going to him.

Derek Carr, by far. He may even win it.

Derek Carr ..... not sure how I'd feel about giving the MVP to a rookie tbh

Mvp is really easy to predict has any position player broken a season record (AP after his ACL tear for example)? No...ok give it to the QB with the best record now that pay me a ton has retired. After Brady that goes to Derek Carr. Having a high scoring "fun" offense certainly doesn't hurt either.

Lions and Raiders are both in first place in their division. Carr and Stafford deserve some kind of award for contorting all reality and conventional wisdom.

Stafford hands down. Look at his play since about last Veteran's Day (especially this season). Better day than the GOAT (statistically). No D, running game or Megatron. Jim Bob Cooter has done wonders for him as OC. Best DEF player has 0 sacks & DeAndre Levy has only played 1 game this season.

Dallas offensive line.

****in' froob, I came here to say that. Dallas would be a joke without them. With them they're a viable playoff team and probably will end up playing in the NFCCG.

Stafford hands down. Look at his last 25 games (especially this season). Better day than the GOAT (statistically). No D, running game or Megatron. Jim Bob Cooter has done wonders for him as OC.

That's not true...

Player Att Comp Yds Comp % Yds/Att TD TD % INT INT % Long Sck Rating Pass Yds
Stafford 433 291 3224 67.2 7.4 21 4.8 5 1.2 73 27 100.5 256.1(15th)
Brady 302 208 2470 68.9 8.2 19 6.3 1 0.3 63 11 113.1 270.2(4th)

Agree, his play has been incredible. Between him and Carr I think. Would not pick Dak because who knows what any QB could do behind that OL.

Agree 100%.. The only QB that i trust to win a game without running g is Brady ( He already did that many times). Bree and Rodgers in a good day can too. If you watch Dallas play, Dak only starts to throw after they establish the running game. If you put Romo there they would be even more dangerous.

My apologies. I actually meant to be a bit more specific. Since Veteran's Day of last year. Also, this is no knock on The GOAT at all:

Stafford: (W-L) 14-6
(TD-INT) 40-7
(Passer Rating) 104.4

The GOAT: 11-5
33-6
101.5

Just saying that Stafford's been playing great ball lately without too much help.

Side note: DETROIT'S BEST DEF PLAYER (ZIGGY ANSAH HAS 0 SACKS THIS SEASON AND DEANDRE LEVY HAS ONLY PLAYED 1 GAME.

Stafford's truly carrying his team & they're in the playoff hunt at the moment. Look at his play since last season..

Matthew Stafford

Dallas offensive line.
Bingo. They're the real MVP. Since I can't vote for them, it would be Carr. Last game against the Chiefs aside, he's been very good.

Carr or Elliot, giving the edge to Elliot, only due to the fact the MVP award has become a QB award

Hopefully, we can honest give the MVP award to the best person at his position, which help his team and helped re-define their position.

Looking at just the qbs have made this league a pure passing game, and taken so much away from other aspects of the game (d, running, special teams, etc)

While I don't think he'll win the MVP award, I still think Brady's numbers are MVP caliber - given the circumstances

I'm not too thrilled about a rookie getting MVP honors...but it's hard to deny the most successful running back those honors. Ezekial's numbers are truly elite.....even if he does have the NFL's best O-line to work with

Carr.

I can't believe I am about to type this, being a life-long Pats fan (born in 1969, I remember watching games with my dad in 73) ... I actually don't hate the Raiders anymore. They have finally shed the dirty, cheap-shot aura.
