It is what it is

Does he actually talk to anyone other than his players, coaches and possibly his family?

"Can any of you be good enough to sign up and be able to block adequately for Tom?"

"uhh, its Bill Belichick, AKA God, calling. I command thy to obey the greatness of the Pats. Remember, it is what it is"

I have to laugh at the perception versus reality of Bill.

I quite enjoy the dry, snarky tone of his Press Conferences, but I also think when he gets talking football, you can learn more about the game in a couple of minutes than with a day of reading most football fan sites.

The outside world doesn't see Bill much, true. It's tough to be a celebrity of sorts and keep your privacy, I would imagine. Good for him for drawing hard lines.

That said, when he's on Patriots today or on the radio with WEEI, he's a much different animal than when he does his pressers. Both are great, it's just that most people don't enjoy a good verbal defense. BB is to the wrong question as Vince Wilfork is to a run up the middle. You ain't gettin' nowhere.

"I need the fans to cheer louder in all 3 phases of the game. Fans need to plan the cheer better and to execute the cheer better. We have depth in all areas of the stadium and we need to execute that depth better."

Well said. Bill's little segments on WEEI where he feels comfortable with those around him and is being asked intelligent stuff are very very rewarding, for the fans out there at least. He's very humorous, he's more open than he is normally, and he's actually really quite warm.

You forgot - I need to coach the cheer better.

Now that's halarious! But that sounds just like him!

In the most monotonous voice ever:

"We've got a tough matchup coming this week against the (insert random team here). They're big, they're fast, they're physical. They're comfortable either running the ball or passing the ball. They've got a big play defense: they like to get turnovers. There's not an aspect of the game that they don't do well. We've got our work cut out for us this week."

"Everyone go out and Sin, and one day we will dine together in hell....

...and if anyone has any film of the Falcons practicing this week please call 800-BELICHT. Operators are standing by."

LOL. Nice work. Although, I think it's safe to assume Bill has his own highly-trained personnel for that job.

Welcome to board

Knowing our luck, Goodell would think that is real and fry our asses....

"I need to coach better so the louts at Patsfans stop making me look bad with my decision making."

Thanks! Glad you can take a joke.

I think you'll find that folks here accept Opposition posters who know football and the NFL, don't behave like jackasses, have a sense of humor and can take a little trash talk back. Others get ignored pretty quickly.

That said, welcome to the board.

PS: that idea of a hot line for people with tapes of opponents practices is pretty good...BB might take you up on it.
