Indeed.

Moving from Miami to Northern Virginia has been the most stressful driving transition of my life. People up here still drive like idiots, except 10-20 mph slower than their southern counterparts.

Blowing a light on US1 in Florida would get you killed anywhere from Lauderdale south.

Personally, I'm doing perfectly fine. Took the kids out to Western Mass to visit Grandma, and managed to add an hour to the trip with a 495S-290W-90E-495N loop. Not distracted AT ALL.

(At least Grandma is cool with me sitting here poring over the draft while she entertains the kids. Thank, mom!)
