How will Jones/Hightower impact Nink/Fletch/Cunningham?

About Ninkovich, I would say a guy who plays over 80% of the defensive snaps is a core player, and unlikely to be impacted, but then I see Arrington up there, and I assume Arrington is on the bubble.

Why would you assume that Arrington is on the bubble? The guy was tied for the league lead in interceptions last year.

The Hightower pick brings back memories of when we could put 4 strong linebackers on the field at the same time ... like when Bruschi was younger and he was there with Vrabel, McGinest and Johnson. The thought of Hightower or Mayo moving all over the place with Spikes behind them is going to be sweet. At the very least Hightower should at least learn enough in camp to rush the QB when needed early on .

The last few years our DB's have been making the bulk of the tackles and while it's nice to see that they can it has also increased the injuries in that area. I am very excited now - our front seven is back to the 2004 period. If they can play to that same level as a unit it will be an exciting year for sure.
