(I watched the Super Bowl in Germany and they had Basti as the "sideline himbo". The broadcast was so cheesy and the game so painful that I had to watch without sound, though.)

I often post shots of Seabass from German tv in the GDTs. IMO He is a Pats legend-great.

I love his commentary on the German side too, brings authenticity -firsthand experience to their broadcasts, even when it isn’t a Pats game LOL.

Sometimes the strategy of maxing out on 2nd round picks actually works out for you if you're not in love with what's left in the first round.

4 second round picks, 2 of them were home runs (Vollmer and Chung), 1 was OK to underwhleming (Darius Butler actually had a decent career elsewhere in the league, 9 seasons and 42 starts, 15 INTs, and one bust: Ron Brace.

Other than Lesean McCoy, Jairus Byrd and 2 others, the 2nd round was pretty bad.

I like your argument for value purposes.

The one anti-trade down from first argument is the 5th-year option. IF (big ?) you can guarantee the pick at 31 is a gifted starter, it is great to have that leverage to flip him into a long-term or at least 2d contract. BUT as said that is a big ?, so 95% likely best value is downtrade.
