How much of a role will Brady have in re-signing Edelman

Some folks would have better use for that cap space. We might start with signing a cornerback.

None whatsoever.

Bill Belichick would rather keep stiffs on the roster such as Steve Gregory, Adrian Wilson, Isaac Sopoaga than pay Julian Edelman.

The thread topic is Julian Edelman not cornerback. Please focus on the subject at hand.

I don't know, but I'm guessing that not all three will make the roster, and quite likely only one of them will.

Little to none, Kraft leaves it t BB and that's that. BB did not fail to pay enough to fill the position, the guy he signed had to play injured and a special teamer became a temporary hero.

What happens now depends on the numbers.

none...........

Not! this Time around...Brady has nothing without Edelman right now and Gronk IF he returns might be a shell of his former self. Brady would be an idiot to play mum at this Point in his career. Open your wallet Mr. Kraft and spend some money on the Offense. Peyton Manning had his BEST year Statistically at age 37, same age Brady will be in 2014. Peyton has never played with $h!t on Offense. It's about Time brady get some real players on Offense including Edelman. You are who you field Brady is an Elite QB get him a Elite WR and *TE* *not named Gronk* with the bunch we already have.

Beat me to it, Brady couldn't get them to re-sign welker even though he re-did his deal hoping they would do just that. This comes down to what Edelman would take to stay here because he will get better offers elsewhere.

Not true seemed like Welker had a hard one for BB.:bricks:

1. Not directly, but, as I've noted before, Tom Brady's agent is also Julian Edelman's agent.

2. I think the Patriots also understand that they just can't keep forcing Brady to start over with his pass catchers.

On 1), I don't know how this works in real time, but that's a classic conflict of interest, if the agent suggests that one client take less money to keep another (and more remunerative) client happy. I think people get sued for doing stuff like that.

On 2), Brady has known the "House Rules" of working for the Krafts for a long time. I doubt he expects things to change as he comes to the end of his career.
