How many touchdowns will Brady throw this season?

Really there is no way to predict this because no one can predict if Gronk and Amendola will even finish the season healthy. I would not count on either of them staying healthy. There is a pattern with both of them.

I would imagine he will finish somewhere in the 20's as for touchdowns.

Mid-20's probably and yes I believe in the end the most important part by a long shot is getting the ring and that will define the success of the season. But really, if it's the only thing that matters then there is no reason to even enter the thread.

I can see "stats don't matter" when it's a 30 TD season. It's a little more dire than that.

If when you can say "stats don't matter" is based on a statistical condition, then I think it's safe to say that "stats do matter"

(and yes, I realize that was your original argument in the first place, I'm agreeing with you)

I predict 25.

...but I just did

23 TDs, 11 INTs.

I had a feeling that TB may end up with the most interceptions in his career this year. I figured the combination of losing so many familiar targets, the playing time of inexperienced targets, and his flat out frustration level with what has transpired would lead him to the most ints he has ever had. Now he is not on pace to do that, but it is still concerning.

I guess I'm in the middle somewhere. My knee-jerk reaction to the question was "I don't care", but that's not entirely true. While the team winning will always be my first priority by far, individual stats do count to me. In retrospect, it bothered me to see Brady's TD/game streak end, although at the time I was much more concerned with the loss to the Bengals that day. However, in time that loss will be long forgotten and the end of TB's streak will be much more meaningful, at least to me. Obviously, individual and team stats other than W/L in football are hard to ignore when assessing the relative success of players and teams. Just my take.

Maybe it'll help if you realize that the streak was snapped earlier in the 2011 AFC championship game where Brady didn't throw a TD pass. This silliness of not counting playoff games is ridiculous. It's not like it's a preseason game where the starters barely play. The starters play for most if not all of the game in the playoffs and regular season.
