Brady will do whatever he can to help Cassel succeed at running this offense in his absence. Whenever he can. May not be visible early on, but he will be a presence. And a lot more helpful than Drew for two reasons - Cassel doesn't represent a slight or threat to him and he actually knows the offense as well as opponents defenses and can give better council than just f'in sling it.
Good points.
Along that line, I would liken Brady's role now to that of Varitek if Tek went down for the Sox. His experience and knowledge of other teams' defenses (as Tek knows hitters) is invaluable and in a way, makes him another coach. And again, Brady can relay this information and has information to give Cassel that neither BB or McD can.
