You have to understand, and it took me a while to get it myself, this is a Patriots message board. What kinds of people post incessantly on a message board? What kinds of qualities do you expect them to have?

Sure, there will be your handful of reasonable people, but there is a large contingent of unreasonable people. Folks who love to argue, folks who love to complain, and most of that group enjoys a good strawman argument.

They ignore the main rationale of the argument to attack some small trivial piece, they get into personal attacks, they question your "football knowledge"

Do not get baited into this type of nonsense, you will be happier. You cannot win these arguments, there are always new ways to get you to respond. Sure, it can be difficult, and sometimes you may be baited, but as a reasonable person, if you are indeed reasonable, you will be able to pull out before too much time and effort are expended.

What should we be doing, in your opinion? This is a message board where we come together to discuss the team and offer opinions on the Patriots, their play, and yes even their FA signings or lack of signings.

I mean, we have seen this team play terrible defense in the last few years. To bemoan a return to that style of play is not really that far fetched of a reaction to the FA moves we have seen thus far. Especially considering what FA players are available, the CBs in the draft, and the trade options.

That doesn't mean we want a different coach or even a different GM. Why are people not allowed to react to what is going on right now.....?

No one said you couldn't but we certainly have just as much right to respond to that. And in your case nun you acknowledged that you basically only post to be negative, so why would you expect that to be positively received?

No one liked losing Revis, some just came to terms with it because there was no choice, woody was going to keep going higher no matter what they bid, and the rest of the CB market was overpriced dogsh.t.

No one is happy about the CB situation, but people need to look for answers not simply b.tch about it. This market sucked for fixing it so they have to find another way. I'm glad they didn't give Culliver 32 million, and the same goes for Cromartie and Williams etc etc... I also trust Belichick to keep working until he find the answer.

Look, it sucks we lost Mevis but I get why. We probably should not tie up that much money for him when we are going to have a few important pieces up for extensions. Whatever. its done.

I am sure BB can figure out a way to put some secondary together. Dennard is a good player. Arrrington in the slot is fine. Maybe Butler is the real deal.
