It's tough (but interesting) exercise because we don't know all of the rules. For the "one and done" patriots, are we looking at their whole career or how they performed during the one year on the patriots?

Light had the longevity and the consistency but he was never as dominant as Brown was two years ago. Brown destroyed people in the run game and was almost as good, although not flawless, as a pass protector. In my opinion, 2018 Brown vs. peak Jason Taylor does a better job against Taylor than Light ever did.

I would also take a peak Neal over 2011 Waters but peak Waters was the better player.

Thuney is still fairly early in his career but his consistency has been incredible. He is probable better than Mankins as a pass protector, probable not as good as a run blocker and, as a previous poster noted, has performed better than Mankins in the postseason. Mankins, however, brought a level of intensity and nastiness that may only be eclipsed in Pats history by Hannah. He was truly the leader of those offensive lines.

That's a tough one. Matt Light one of my favorite Patriots but Trent Brown was awesome. Mankins, Thuney, Neal, Waters, whew! Woody, Koppen, Andrews. We've had some good ones. Vollmer, Cannon (great when healthy). The winners are:

Brown, Thuney, Koppen, Waters, Vollmer.

I originally had Mike Compton at C but I just remembered that Compton played guard majority of the snaps until they were in shotgun situations. So I had to take him out. I remember he had lightning quick snaps out of the shotgun and Woody was terrible at it.

Waters was an amazing pickup in 2011.

Leaving Light off was tough, but he was a liability against speed rushers or other elite pass rushers. Brown can take on anyone.

Trent Brown was great that one season, and came seemingly out of nowhere. Remember when we were totally screwed going into 2018 because Solder left? Hitting on him was a lifesaver that year.

Light was good for a long time an had 3 rings though. Tough call.

Marcus Cannon also went from being a stiff in 2015 to being really, really good in 2016. wouldn't put him on the top of the Pats OL list, just throwing that out there.
