I was almost as surprised by this news as I was last year when I learned that Jerome Bettis was from Detroit, and that's where the Superbowl was held last year! It was like a homecoming for him! Did anyone else know that? He was from the same city that was hosting the Superbowl he was about to play in, and almost no one picked up on that story for two weeks straight leading up to the Superbowl, which was held in Detroit, which was also the hometown of Jerome Bettis! You can't make this stuff up!
