Sorry to do it this way, but Adam didn't enable folks to send a private message on his account. I'll delete as soon as Adam responds.

The Jags might have used a different version of the song, by the Tube Tops. It sounds almost exactly the same, and the NFL has said teams can use it.

I searched google, dogpile, and amazon and found nothing for a group called the Tube Tops. Is it spelled differently? What is the name of their copycat song for Gary Pedophile Glitter's R&R pt 2?

OT: Re: Hey AdamJT13, who are the "tube tops"?

from http://www.rollingstone.com/artists..._randoms_rage_against_the_machine_paul_weller

Eric Erlandson of Hole, Melissa Auf Der Maur of Smashing Pumpkins, Clem Burke of Blondie and Kathy Valentine of the Go-Go's have united as Tube Tops 2000 to record a cover of Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll, Pt. 2" for the upcoming glam rock tribute album, Blockbuster, due Jan. 30. Other tracks on the Conspiracy Records release will include the Donna's take on Sweet's "Wig Wam Bam" and Otherstarpeople's cover of David Bowie's "Suffragette City" . . .

Essentially, they covered the GG hit and NFL teams can use the music without directly supporting a predator. In practice, though, I suspect he gets a royalty when their song is played.

Thanks folks. Well, if GG doesn't get any royalties (any royalty experts around here?) off this version then I'd vote for it to be the TD song.
