Gronkowski Feels Like Allen is "Going to Turn The Corner Soon"

I hope we aren't placing blame on Brady now as the reason Allen has been a disappointment so far. The guy runs wrong routes and can't track the ball.

Fwiw, it's hard to argue that Allen has any culpability on the long disconnects. That said, if everything else were going swimmingly, he wouldn't be on the bench so much.

Just simple deduction of what's more likely. A 20 veteran Qb running a system he's always known throwing bad ball or new Te running the wrong route. Then it's to the coaches decision to only play 6 snaps, if it was the Qbs error then that Te would be playing more. I also think he can't track the ball well either. I'm not hating on him, it's just reasoning after 6 games, really there is nothing better than to have another weapon and it'll help us if he starts figuring out our system.

Note. Brady does throw bad balls but those receivers don't get benched.

Yeah that's not unreasonable. I won't go that far myself but won't argue against it either.

Belichick definitely shouldn't have picked up veteran RB's who were going to be injured.

The injuries are irrelevant. They are both JAGs. And giving them Blount's money makes it that much worse. Sign one or the other and keep Blount.

How about Kevin Faulk's fumbling problems?

Or an even more applicable example - Jermaine Wiggins - he wasn't consistent to start the season but had some clutch catches in the Super Bowl run.

That said, we don't see practices - only games and to me that's where the bulk of the coaches decisions are likely made about players.
Someone should ask Bill at the next presser if Allen has caught a ball in practice yet.

Um, our backs are JAGS. The possible exceptions are Lewis and White who are 3rd down backs and redundant. Our lead back is in Philly and averaging 5.6 yards a carry because Bill decided it would be a good idea to give his money to Rex Burkhead. And then double down by doing the same with Gillislee- another JAG. If Bill resigns Blount I firmly believe we win that KC game in week one and the tone of the season is completely different. Maybe even undefeated right now considering we had the Carolins game stolen from us.
I don't think our line would have put up the same numbers with Blount, who needs an open hole to get started. I think we'd be seeing Blount get stuffed all over the place here.

From a cap perspective, if Allen is cut, $4.5m of his current cap hit gets shifted to dead money, and the Pats only save the roughly $270k remaining of his per-game roster bonuses. In the highly unlikely possibility that the Pats could sucker some other team into trading for him, the Pats would save somewhere around $3.7m in cap charges. And a trade would, of course, need to happen next week.

Either way, the Pats would them be down to Gronk, Hollister and Develin (sorta) at TE. OTOH, I hear that Matthew Mulligan is still available.

Not a bad idea, except he won't answer...unless he gives his standard generality of everyone working to improve.

I feel like I'm going to win the powerball soon.

Did anyone else think this was about Ryan Allen? Was thinking that was an odd thing to say.

0 yards so far right? Funny thing is the first pass of the season was to him wide open but that was on Brady.

Turning in the correct direction is the key I think.
