Great story on Dante

The anecdote about Scar doing crunches on the floor in the back of the meeting room when they are talking about defensive strategy is awesome.

Scar. And Ernie Adams. Two trailblazers for new categories in Canton.

One to be the first position coach ever inducted. The other for the Mystery category.
.

.

I’d add Caserio and McDaniels. It’s an amazing program

He deserves a spot in the HOF

It is amazing that this 71 year old coach still has the drive for excellence that he does.. what BB said about him highlights his importance to this team...

Not sure there are many men his age, who would devote the time and energy away from his family to do what Dante does.... we all know the commitment that BB expects from the coaches..

As much as I believe he belongs in Canton, a quick and dirty look of coaches already enshrined there, no assistant coaches have ever made it to that lofty plateau... he is a lock for the Pats HOF though.
Dante and I are about the same age. I believe I could bring the same kind of energy to the practice field, BUT, then I'd have to go home for the rest of the day. It is truly amazing that he has the energy to go ANOTHER 8-10 hours in the meeting and planning rooms

What do these guys have in common? Belichick, Brady, Scar...and Bob Kraft and Ernie, too:

They're driven.

The Pats were not the first pro sports team Kraft owned. Nor the first team Bill coached. Nor the first team Tom started for (Michigan). But each one of them came here determined.

Bill has always been smart. He knew and appreciated what Scar & Ernie brought to the table when he got here.

I think we have to credit Marchibroda for giving Bill a job out of college.

And Fairbanks, for doing the same for Ernie. But that was way more out of the box. Chuck was just brilliant.

And we have to thank Billy Sullivan for hiring Ron Meyer. Not for the snow plow thing, which was hilarious and precious, but because Dante Scarnecchia came here from SMU. Dante is to off field contributions to this franchise, what Steve Grogan is to on field contributions.

Dante absolutely belongs in Canton. First ballot.

I see, so “Great story on Dante” gets more attention than the “Good article on Scar” thread posted by @Chevy that was already up? What is it, Pats Fans? Fall for the hyperbole of “great” over “good?” “Article” not as appealing as “story?” Dante over Scar?

I’m going to start a new thread called “AMAZING tale about Pats coach!” and see what happens.

"I'm gonna think about what you just said, and get back to you tomorrow."

Awesome article/story...what is amazing is the love and passion for his job

He is a top coach one important reason why we are Winners and a top organisation

In Scar we trust

Grande Dante
Well after all, Scar is the only undefeated head coach in Patriots history...

Former local guy, now with NFL.com Mike Giardi wrote a great piece on the value and importance of Dante Scarnechia that should be read.

And if you had any worries about LT, within the story there is a link to a clip of Brian Baldinger breaking down Wynn against the Panther's first team talent

So a great 2 fer to enjoy

Will they have Wynn on a snapcount.. I'd have to imagine... Probably not a good idea to play 50-60 snaps

That's the common wisdom from what I've read. but by the time he gets on the field next Sunday, he'll have been back at full speed for a month plus all the work that went he went through to get to that point. If he doesn't play the full game, I would expect him to play the great majority, no a "rotation". Anyway who's going to replace him?

That's the danger in who is going to replace him. But what if that Achilles gets pushed and gets aggravated then we are really in trouble. Thuney to left tackle? With the Baltimore guy at guard?
