Thought this was particularly interesting, gives some perspective on why some players thrive here (Bruschi, Vrabel) and others don't (Thomas, Haynesworth), because it is demanding intelligence and communication on the field not just athleticism:

"In recent years, however, Belichick has expanded on this idea by having his players adjust their blitz assignments not only based on the offense’s formation, but by having them trade assignments after the play begins."
 
Very interesting gif of Hightower & Collins trading assignments based upon where the center first moves. Remember Chris Hollingsworth saying early this last season that with Mayo out young players like H & C might not be able to run BB's defense. Heh!
