And despite perceived as “not the most talented“ .. they are setting records after records..
Against Houston (another of the 3 most critical games after the byes) Lewis set new records . now White setting Super Bowl records for most catches (14) and receiving yards (110) by a running back
That snap break down is really interesting. I understand why Blount had less, especially after he fumbled but I wonder why they leaned on White so much? I've always seen Lewis and White as somewhat interchangeable.
What was the edge, pass blocking? pass catching? Or just staying with a hot hand?
My hope was that Lewis and White would have big games considering the weaknesses of the Falcons defense. It took a little while to get things going but White stepped up big.
White was amazing. He even had a little success running the ball. He made people miss repeatedly when the game was on the line. I will love him forever... He is officially welcomed into the Faulk-Woodhead-Vereen "super awesome 3rd down backs" club.
I owe James White an apology for what I said about him in the game day thread. I was very critical. Now, it was out of pure anger and frustration, as I've lauded him all season. He stepped up. Someone called for the Caulk direct snap, and we even got that last night. James White, you balled out! If ever there was a time where co- MVP's would have been fine with me, it was last night. Though I will say that I'm stoked Brady got it.
