Gostkowski isn't a Clutch player

at the end of the day, Gostkowski was not the reason the team lost today

at the end of the day, that wasnt the OP's point.

He was pointing out that Gostowski misses FGs in big games. Sure it didnt end up being the reason we lost today..... but it could've. And that's what matters.

lol he has the highest FG% in team history

and the pats lost by 3 TD's today not 3 FG's

Gost FG kicking is inconsistent.

He misses alot that I can remember. Usually in big games. No wonder BB likes going for it on 4th down now. He has no faith in Gostowski

Tool. This is simply not true. He has made 97 of 114 FG attempts in his short career (85.4%). He has missed 3 out of 40 from 20-29 yards (92.5%), 5 out of 46 from 30-39 yards (89.1%), 9 out of 25 from 40-49 yards (64%), and is 3 of 3 from 50+ yards (100%).

As a comparison, here are the top kickers in the game: AV (82%), Robbie Gould (85.8%), Rob Bironas (84.1%), Kaeding (86.4%), Akers (81.7%).

Gostowski has never missed a 4th quarter game-tying or go ahead FG. He has made 8 4th quarter FG that either tied or game the Pats the lead, including 3 in the playoffs (game winner against SD in '06 and 2 go ahead FGs in the loss to Indy).
