Looks like we have a special teams ace coming here this year judging by this video. If we find him a spot on offense, this guy could be a weapon. Anyway, this video is mostly UCLA football but it has a couple of good Matt Slater portions. In one, he comes down the field on special teams and lays the Stanford returner out with a BIG hit. Then, he takes what would have been a return for a touchdown back, but accidentally steps out of bounds. Very speedy return man. Anyway, enjoy everyone...

EDIT: Anybody know where UCLA's running back ended up going? Because that guy looked really good.

In before a lame Saved by the Bell reference. I'd like to start a petition to end those by the way.

One of my favorites as Nas by well, works great with our team.

Kahlil Bell. Staying his senior year. 2007 was his breakout year, but he seems injury prone.

Injury prone or not... WOW would he look good in a Pats uniform!

I agree. I think he had 700+ yards before he tore his ACL this year.

I'd take a chance on him if he slipped. Imagine a backfield of Maroney and Kahlil Bell to go along with our receivers. Dangerous stuff. Besides, some running backs have come back stronger after an ACL tear.

I'm not sure where he'd end up on next year's draft. Obviously, a lot depends on his senior year and combine etc. etc. but I think if he has a very successful senior year, he could fall in 4-5 range. Most of the 2009 scouting reports for RB's having him a day 2 pick or FA. He's certainly worth that. I follow the Tigers and I know I really like James Davis from Clemson...but he's a late rd 1-mid 2 guy.

There was a guy in GoalLineBlitz with a player named 'Matt Slater', that he had made long before the draft, so I sent him a message asking him why he chose that.

He said he is a UCLA student and Matt Slater is his favorite player on the team. He's like "that guy is basically our star player".

I thought that was a good sign.
