Got any links regarding the bolded above? I'd love to see where the 'assessment' came from....

And as for weight....as someone alluded to above....the donuts/pizza type...EASY!!! Hell, I gain 5 lbs. after a weekend of binge drinking..... But the muscle type....it is possible to do a massive weight gain in 6-7 months of maybe 10-15lbs. of muscle...the average male can put on about half a pound of muscle in a week working out in the weight room (or 2 lbs. a month)...but this is a NFL player with access to world class trainers and nutrition.....

Assuming Garcia is hitting the weight room today and that he was as low as 250lbs....I think he can get back to 290 by late August.....with about 10-15 of it being muscles...he'll have to eat a lot though........especially protein man...

Some good ole KFC or Popeye's can do the trick.

cleared to play and being able to play at a patriot NFL level are two different things.

But, yes, this is great news.

Good news

Slowly but surely next year’s team is taking shape. I’m starting to think their first pick will be a TE or Edge defender.

Where do you get that he was as low as 250? The article a couple weeks ago said he was down to 260 during the season. But hey didn't say when during the season that was...

I only knew that he lost up to 40 lbs. during the 2017 season and simply assumed his playing weight was 290.

Fair enough.. He'd gotten to 302 at the combine and I think it's safe to say that's where he was at during OTAs and in camp before the blood clots were found..

The question remains when was that 260lbs taken and how much weight has he put on since then and how much more does he have to put on..

Did they ever determine why he got the blood clots? It had to be an injury thing and not systemic, I presume, since he's cleared to play.

Can't copy & paste too much as it's from Bedard's pay article but I think I can do this:

"A chance meeting with Garcia recently in the Foxborough area revealed that 6-foot-6 tackle looks far from sickly or frail from his recent health scare.

In fact, Garcia looks like he could step on a field tomorrow and hold his own. He’s added much more muscle than he showed up with last year after the draft — his arms and chest are noticeably bigger.

And his weight isn’t far off at this point. Garcia, who disputed the idea that he’d lost 40 pounds, said he currently weighs 290 pounds — his college playing weight — and 13 pounds less than what he weighed at the combine two years ago. He still has three more months until training camp starts, and five until the season gets underway.

And Garcia doesn’t just look good.

“Best I’ve ever felt,” a sweaty Garcia said following a workout. “I’m ready to go.”"

I really like Bedard's site, although I wish Jeff Howe was there.

One of three things is true:

1) Your wife doesn't frequent this site.

2) You don't have a wife.

3) You don't have a wife for long.
Or....

4. His wife isn’t Italian!

My girlfriend will ask if something makes her look fat when I shop with her. I tell her “I’ll always say “no”, so maybe you should shop with your friend and not me”

Shopping is torture to me
