Living here in the Tampa area I saw him play a few times for USF. My impression was that he seemed to be a guy with good instincts, very motivated, and above average football smarts. I'm surprised that some teams had him graded as a 2nd rounder; I thought that was a bit high and that the 3rd round for him seemed to be right. Glad to see BB didn't hold a grudge against him based on the last player he picked from USF. Looking forward to following his career with the Pats.

He's already buying in with the Belichick secrecy, saying that the Patriots have asked him not to share exactly where he'll be lining up at linebacker -- the early reports out of Boston say he'll play inside, but McKenzie's played both in his college career.
