Five Questions With Casey Willett Of 105.7 The Fan In Baltimore
By: Russ Goldman

As we get closer to the Patriots game against the Ravens on Sunday, I wanted to get a view of this game from someone who actually covers the Ravens. Casey Willett reports on the Ravens for "Sports Radio 105.7 The Fan" in Baltimore....

Interesting responses to the first few questions from the person from Baltimore. Ravens have an us-against-the-world mentality where they embrace the role of the underdog; an ability to adapt mid-game and game-to-game; a QB that spreads the ball around with many equally effective options.

Sounds something like the Pats from the early part of this past decade.

It is very tough to beat the Pats after a Bye week. I am glad that the Pats are playing the Ravens after the Bye week - any other week and I would be wondering if they would win or not.

I also expect the Ravens to try and ram the ball down New England's throat early and often. I expect to see a lot of runs through the "A" gap, or at least attempts, in order to feel out our D-line.

Flacco is getting better as a passer, but he still hasn't taken that next step up to be consistent, and to be able to look off a defender while his WR gets into position.

My expectation is for New England to try and shut down Baltimore's running game, and force Flacco to air it out.

It's going to be a great game. :rocker:

It used to be difficult, nie, impossible to beat the Pats in a playoff game at home.......

Baltimore / New England games always seem to be exciting. Cant wait for this one!

They only went through the A gap because Wilfork lined up at left. I do not see this happening again unless they are going to entrust Spikes with spying on Rice.
