Favre has a stress fracture and is in a walking boot

Re: Favre 2 ankle fractures.

Favre is an actor, an excuse maker, and a self promoter. He's also in a bit of hot water.
There's a lot of Redneck NFL fans out there. And Favre is the poster boy for them. He sells a lot of tickets and promotes the game to the country and western crowd. If Tony Romo or Jay Cutler won 1 superbowl, and then went on to have an extra long career as a starting QB. That's Brett Favre to me!
He's setting up his excuse for missing a game. The closer to the day, or more likely he'll be suspended for a game, the more injured he becomes...
Taking pain killers before a game is common for injured QB's, They get it taped up & shot up, then go out and play. His post game limping down the steps last week was priceless! He's a baffoon
I wish more people would see through his antics. And the NFL's being reluctant to expose him!
Jeez! Even the media is saying he should have more control of the team than his Head Coach. Why? Because he's Brett Favre d%#*!@t!
OT... One of Favre's all time great habits is during the post game presser of a loss is. He'll be saying "I don't want to make excuses but..." Then he'll list things that went wrong in the game that he's not responsible for.
Jackass!

Re: Lord Favre has a fractured ankle

So what you're basically saying is that we'll either face a douche (Farve) or a turd sandwich (Jackson).

I think they should sign Daunte Culpepper from the Sacramento Mountain Lions to be the Emergency 3rd QB this week. He should be in football shape and if Favre and Jackson stink it up he can always throw it to Moss.

Re: Lord Favre has a fractured ankle

Favre sucks but on the other hand he's made a career of screwing the Pats one way or another. I'm not sure I'll be disappointed if he can't play.

That is a very ignorant statement!

I too was hoping to see the ol' hillbilly play this Sunday, if for no other reason than I want to see the Pats beat him in Gillette. I know we beat him in '94 in the old Foxboro, and demolished him four years ago in Green Bay. But he's made two trips to The Razor and won both times, and that sticks in my craw.

The way he was walking after that press conference though, I don't know.

There's also a rumor going around that if he really does sit on the bench for a while, it will be because the league was going to suspend him for that "sexting" business. If that's really the case, though, I can't imagine Herr Goodell would let him off so easy.

Do NFL rules allow a player to be wheeled onto the field on a gurney?

Because I can picture it clearly: An ambulance accompanied by four state police cars slowly enters the Razor. The back doors open, and Favre, on a gurney in full uniform, with an IV drip, is carefully removed and wheeled to the line of scrimmage. He's helped off by the ambulance attendants, and then he starts playing like nothing happened.

Jeez man you should write for the Onion! Thats hilarious. I was laughing hard while reading that.

Seeing how this thread has veered off course I probably should have just started a new thread, except that starting another Brett Favre thread doesn't seem right either.

Favre ditches walking boot - BostonHerald.com

Maybe this was staged. That’s the conspiracy theorist in me talking. Or, maybe not. You can be the judge.

With roughly 10 minutes left in the media availability in the Vikings locker room today, quarterback Brett Favre limped in - sans walking boot.

Obviously, there had to be some type of improvement for Favre to ditch the boot, which was keeping the bad left ankle, and its two separate stress fractures, immobile.

His ankle was taped, that’s it, as he gingerly made his way to his locker. Favre chatted casually with reporters for a few minutes.

as i said before. this is just his posturing. no sooner childress said he will do what is best for vikings and needs favre to practice...he suddenly becomes a quick healer.

i for one am worried if favre plays. he may have a point to prove to chilly and he has always cost the pats one or another. for all his INTs he hasnt thrown one vs the pats i think

Feels like it, but he has 3 INTs in his career against the Pats. But that's just 3 considering he's played against them 7 times, including SB 31.

What's really insulting is all the times he's sucked when we need his team to win for our sake. He's an *******.

The guy's such a prima donna. He cares about his streak more then hurting his own team.I hope he plays and he throws 4 picks.I cant stand the guy.He should have retired awhile back.

It's hard to think of someone who has so expertly trashed their own legacy in such a short time span.

Come on have Favre start! I'd love to see the Pats bury him!
