Evaluate Guyton

How can you not like what we have in Guyton? An undrafted ilb who might eventually
develop into a starter. He needs his man-muscles to play inside in our scheme. But, most
players who truly dedicate themselves in an off-season conditioning program can do that.
I'd prefer to sign a vet for the upcoming year. Don't want to use a day one pick on
an ilb. Day-one is now 1st and 2nd round. 4-5TH round ok. To bring along slowly and help
on special teams. Eventually, replace that Vet i mentioned we sign.

I know it's heresy on the board. But, put me in the keep that doesn't want to see
Bruschi, Junior, Izzo or Rosie on the roster next year. If Bruschi has to run in order to make a tackle, he can't get there. He can go straight ahead. And, that's it. Painful to watch such a great player and competitor deteriorate. Don't want to see it again next year.

i wouldnt mind rosie back...if hes needed

but yea, i really think the ship has sailed on teh rest as well...if we can keep them as mentors in some fashion though it will be great

The NFL is a passing league these days and if and when Guyton works on his instincts and coverage skills with the coaches, picking up reads and player movement he'll got a lot better. Obviously he'll bulk up this offseason as I suspect will Mayo.

On running downs I think we'll still have Bruschi or Vrabel at ILB and I wonder what role Crable will get?

Once he has an NFL offseason lifting program and takes his NFL "nutritional supplements" he will be great!!!
