Patriots Offense Demo - ESPN Video - ESPN

as most people think, the ability to get open vs man coverage will decide the game and probably be the biggest shift in defenses pats have played since cleveland.

If the Jets insist on playing mostly man defense, motion (WW or TEs) and play action will be the order of the day.

Play Action affects Zone far more than Man. In Man, you are locked on to a receiver and you count on almost no Secondary support vs the run.

I feel like 2 WR 2 TE and a Woodhead out of the backfield (potentially for a short pass) will do a good job against the Jets' man defense. Crossing patterns by the TEs will probably be a good idea.

If they play a lot of man coverage, I think we need to utilize the middle of the field with our tight ends. They have been a little quiet since the Pittsburgh game. But you saw in that game that Gronkowski's size and agility is no match for anyone to cover him in the middle of the field. Belichick and BoB probably know this. Hopefully the rookies can step up to the task and win this game for us. I think this is one of the most important parts of this game - the play of the rookie tight ends. I also thing Cromartie has trouble with the smaller, quicker, route-running aficionado type receivers. I think it will be very interesting to see the offensive game-plan and the adjustments that we make.

Beat me to it. I agree.

send the 2 WR and 2 TE deep and dump it off to the RB......20 yard chunks

you can't play man every down or you will give up a TD every drive.

Ryan's philosophy is that the QB will have a hard time making throws vs Man while he is on his back.

if they are in Man its because they are bringing heat.

leonard on gronk? which LB is going to chase woodhead?

I'd like to see them play man when the pats go no huddle

Since the Jets play man coverage we have to go to the match up that is best for us. In man coverage Hernandez is a tough cover because he is a wr/te tweener. Also Welker killed the Jets last year. In the first game he didn't do that much but he is much closer to 100% now.
