DRAFT Draft Rumours 2026

Not sure if The Riess/Wolf interview was posted here or not, but like many of us have been saying ......
Wolf specifically said he thought the guys ranked 25-50 were all similar prospects.
Takes 2 to tango, but this just strengthens what we've all been saying about the value of trading back should our top targets for 31 be gone.

The majority of these insider tips never come to fruition.
But... let's say we do trade Boutte, we are definitely drafting a WR even with an AJ trade.
I think they like KW outside, so I would think it will be a slot.
I don't anticipate an early pick unless a really talented guy has a big slide.
I'm locking in on Allen, better route tree than someone like KLaw or Hiendrich, just a better receiver imo.
This does not rule out an outside WR if the value is there.
AJ, Doubs, KW and Hollins are locks imo, others expendable.
We could easily double dip and start the year with 6 WR, or move one to the PS if we took a developmental X like Caldwell.

Ya, not buying that.
I think Allar has a better chance of going rd 2 than Beck does going rd 1.
I think that this is one of Mayo 100-point wonders. Some might have him at 30, others at 130.

Beck or Allar?
As far as Allar is concerned. I'm a PSU you fan so know him well.
He definitely needs work, but has elite physical traits the NFL scouts fall in love with.
6'5, 230 lbs, rocket arm and better mobility than many realize.
That is the kind of physical traits the scouts salivate over, and the kind coaches think they can coach up.
I expect Allar to go in the 4th, but I would not be shocked one bit if someone with an aging established starter (like the Rams) took a swing in the 2nd.

Eliot Wolf says the player you can get at 25 is about the same as the one you can get at 50.

Love the first nugget. Those guys will have the biggest impact on the '26 team. Pass rushers are a premium position, so theyll always provide premium value into the future.

While the same can be said of a DT to am extent, amd McDonald is a good player, i just dont see the need or room for immediate impact. Behind Barmore and Williams, there is still quality talent and depth. Durden, Farmer, Gregory, and Taylor is probably too many bodies already. I dont think a role specific type to replace Tonga is needed in the 1st round.

I understand Barmore has some room to be let go after this year. But we spend so much time talking about future needs that may not be needs, and looking to replace good players, currently on the roster, and in their prime. I dont think the current roster is in good enough position to keep looking thay far ahead, when there are issues staring you in the face right now.

To me, Rd1 should only be edge, OT, or WR(to a lesser extent if Brown is coming). Premium positions that if the player hits, you have major value on your hand. Anything else, a trade down should be the option. You might still get an edge or OT, but it at least gives you extra ammo to address other spots or to move around. Then get your OG, DT, or LB.

Im readying myself for a big disappointment with Howell.
Why do you think I included him in my draft contest entries? It mitigates some of the disappointment.
