We're into the final week. Gentlemen, start your engines:

Some fascinating nuggets from Tony Pauline. Including:

1. Interesting possible 3 way trade involving the Browns, Titans and either Chargers or Eagles for Mariota.

2. Saints interested in Vic Beasley and willing to trade up for him

3. Taiwan Jones getting a fair bit of love.

4. Broncos and Rams getting linked to McKinney. Broncos also linked to Paul Dawson

5. Marcus Rush has "blown away" teams

6. Links the Seahawks to DGB. Sheesh! Imagine if that happened and paid off.

Well worth reading it all for more detail.

PS. Pauline makes note of the complexity of Michigan State's defense and comments on both Taiwan Jones' and Marcus Rush's intelligence. I'm sure that will appeal to BB.

One other rumour I saw was that Carolina have shown the most interest in Shaq Thompson. It makes sense, he's fairly similar to Thomas Davis who's 32. I don't remember where I sat that though.

Also, both Mike Manock and Tony Pauline think Damarious Randall is the best safety in this class and Pauline specifically compared Randall to Jimmie Ward and where Ward went in the draft.

From what I have been hearing and reading, two guys that could go a lot higher than most of us are expecting are Cedric Ogbuehi and Mario Edwards. Despite his injury it seems a lot of people think Ogbuehi is still a first round LT despite most mock drafts dropping him into the 2nd/3rd round.

According to Jason La Confora teams in the 11-20 range love Mario Edwards Jr and he says he doesn't expect him to fall past there. I'm sure if that happens it will surprise most people.

WIP is all over the Marriota talk/trade. No one is convinced that Bradford will b the starting QB.
What everyone forgets, or puts as a low priority, is the need for quality depth. Injuries r a foregone certainty n said depth is thru the draft. The Eagles, by giving up a boatload of picks either cannot grasp that fact or choose to ignore it

I heard this morning that with his latest "ahead of schedule" medical reports, both Mel Kiper and Todd McShay say that Todd Gurley will be picked in the top 10.

They also mentioned that the Rats are trying to trade up for Mariotta.

How considerate of the Omissioner to make all of the Rats current and future picks available to trade before he compensates the Pats for the Rats blatant tampering!

I think Kelly would be an idiot if he sold the farm to grab Mariota. Ultimately, if that happens and the Eagles depth is allowed to go to ****, this will be the final nail in the coffin for him. It will just depend on how long it takes to hammer that nail in. I'm not sold at all on either Mariota or Winston.

Nesn has a blurb that says Vic Beasley is falling out of the top ten according to draft experts.

Yeah, just saw the recap of the McShay and Kiper mock draft special on ESPN and Beasley wasn't even picked in the 1st round.

What's with Clemson pass rushers falling so far just before the draft? Happened to Dquan Bowers a few years ago, too.

darn, i thought thread was about patriots draft rumors

I had forgotten about Bowers. He was a BUST

Well Bowers knee was in rough shape because of wear and tear. But I'll be shocked if Beasley makes to 10, nevermind past 10. If he made it anywhere near (or past) 32 like Kiper and Mcshay were suggesting I'll be screaming at TV to get him. Then again if he dropped that far it could mean that teams and insiders know something big and bad that we don't.

It would be if there were any. Only one I've heard is that they like Grady Jarrett or Jordan Phillips in the first round.

Yeah like back in 2010 when Sergio Kindle fell so far. I would have been happy taking him in the 1st and he's still there with our first 2nd round pick?! Take him!!! Take him now!!!! Tak................Rob Gronkowski? Sigh..............whatever.
