NFL gives an extra heads-up on new helmet rule - The Boston Globe

FOXBOROUGH — Longtime NFL referee Clete Blakeman was at Gillette Stadium Monday explaining all of the league’s new rules to the Patriots players and coaches.

After listening to Blakeman and watching instructional videos, the Patriots think they understand the new leading-with-the-helmet rule.

They think.

“I don’t know how they’re going to officiate it,” fullback James Develin said. “I don’t know what’s going to get past and what’s not.”

Blakeman’s talk Monday “definitely cleared up some stuff[my sinuses],” safety Duron Harmon said, though the Jenkins/Cooks play from the Super Bowl never came up in the discussion.

“The dip of the helmet is what they’ll be looking for”

“If they do, then it’s going to be crazy”

OK, Clete Blakeman has got to be one of the all-time football names in history.

And, screw Volin who believes the Patriots are cheaters.

I'm confident this will be officiated in a clear manner that results in no issues with the viewing experience nor will it result in any sort of controversial game outcomes.

It's gonna be a frikkin' Chinese fire-drill out there this year. How this rule got ever got past the committee should be considered proof that there are no sane minds there.

Perhaps we should check the concussion history of those involved in approving this junk-pile of a rule.

Having suffered through the difficulty of obtaining NFL broadcast and information over the years (it wasn't easy in Australia back in the 80s and 90s), I'm increasingly finding myself wondering, once Brady retires, will I bother with the NFL? The ongoing stupidity of NFLHQ and the players turning almost everything into some form of ill-advised political statement has worn thin and sucked the enjoyment out of my football experience.

Leave me out of your queer fantasies, libtard.
He's right, though. Time to change your avatar. You've been overdue on that for a while now.

Fnard slipped on what he thought was a pickle...but alas, it turned out to be the dreaded prickle...the doctor suggested a month's supply of Tuck's to soothe the pain

...so you're just never going to watch any more games going forward?

This is a common sentiment I read and I have to wonder - are people who say this really so fragile? 1 minute out of a 240 minute game and you're too traumatized to be able to enjoy the rest of the game?
