Great running by both of our guys. Great debut for Maroney but Dillon was crucial, "Clock Killin" Corey Dillon is back. He definitley had well over 4 yards per carry. So to all the jerks who said he was washed up and done, time to shut up!

:rocker:

All hail our RBs!!!!

I dont know...not many people here but I've certainly seen some people.

But I changed the title thread, you're right we're mostly supporters of him.

Found this thread on page 3. Seeing Corey with a swagger, some attitude, and some good ol' fashioned Dillon running deserves the kudos.

Outside of Denver, I think the Patriots have one of the best RB trios in the league.

Dillon looked great, I feel bad talking about Maroney so much because it makes me feel like I underapreciate Dillon.

Well I was waiting all offseason. I am so pleased that Dillon never got rattled by the media and kept calm despite every negative thing they said about him. He is one of the most motivated Patriots going into this season. I know Maroney is awesome, he is flashy, he breaks big gains. But there is no forgetting Dillon pounding it and getting much needed first downs. Just as big as any long run. A 4 yard gain on 4th down in the final quarter or something is as big as a 30 yard run.

I don't think anyone was hating on Dillon, but because he had a lackluster preseason people doubting he still had it. Like I said and others, he's a 2nd half back that wears down defenses. Can't measure that in the preseason.

He was running with a purpose today. He actually ran at some tacklers to make them pay. On one play it looked like Dillon was tackling McGee, not the other way around.

I thought Dillon looked great today. Much better than he did at any point last year. And yes, I think the Patriots have one of the best duos in the NFL.

I agree that Dillon looked good, however he does look slower with a little less wiggle in his game. That said, i'm glad to have both of them out there.

Including Denver.......

Hmm, McAllister & Bush is not bad at NO.

Corey played like he had something to prove.

Some in the media have been hating on Corey.

What I like is that he has not gotten rattled by the idiots of the media and done his talking on the field...love when he drops his shoulder and helps a DB remember the hit. This is a very good trio, and will pay big dividends for the Pats.

Dillon was punishing the defence, standing up Fletcher on one play, gave The Bills Safety(Magee?) a stinger that took him out for a few plays. That was nice running.

I thought both Dillon and Maroney did a great job yesterday. Opposing teams are going to have a hell of a time defending the two of them and it will only help Brady in the passing game.
