Difference in Jersey Types

There seem to be two different types of jerseys, replica and authentic.
What is the difference, besides price, between the two types?

I want to buy my sons some jerseys, and I'm stuck.

At http://TomBradyJerseys.com they have both, plus something else called "on field".

I'm confused from so much selection.
Help!

Basically the authentic is same weight and construction of the players own jerseys and run around 250.00 at pro shops. The replica looks similar but is built much lighter and is about 79.00 at retail.

Buying for two teenagers about 5' 11" each. Usually wear large.

If they're going to be wearing them a lot, especially outside or playing in the yard or something, I'd go with replicas. If anything happens to then, you can just get another one for less than 1 authentic would cost. I have an authentic that I wear only during games and I take good care of it - too much $$ to be getting all dirty, etc.

There is no comparison between the two. They look the same, but that's it. The authentics feel completely different and are much heavier / sturdier.

The boys'll wear them around (at least it's safer in this town than wearing a Steelers jersey). In that case, I'll go replica.

Now I see that there's something called an "on field" jersey in the Randy Moss->Replica Jerseys section at the site mentioned in the first post. Is this authentic?

I also noticed that some in some headings under Tom Brady->Replica Jerseys, the word "authentic" is misspelled as AUTHENITC. I may put a joke bid just to see if I can win...
