Did N'Keal Harry really muff the punt?

Who cares what the odds are? Can you say based on the video that it definitely hit his helmet and the there is no way the wind could have taken it or the spin of the ball changed? That is the standard for the sky judge to overturn the call.
I don't really know... looked like the ball trajectory changed... but the angle was not conclusive... could have hit him... or could have...

Yes, it touched his helmet. And yes, i made some sounds that could possibly fall under the characterization of a whimper. 2 things id rather not admit but have now and theres no going back

Odds are that it hit his mask. But by the rules, there has to be indisputable evidence that the ball hit Harry. And from my standpoint, there is no such evidence.
Maybe you should write a letter to the NFL. I'm pretty sure they'll find your standpoint as worthless as this thread.

The punt hits Harry in the head from the front. This is the key shot. Harry going back to his left. Hit from the front and right. Totally inconsistent with the wind. Again... back and to the left… back and to the left… back and to the left… back and to the left.

Pretty sure the same wind will blow Harry's contract out of New England soon.

Whether it hit him or not, he should of stay away from it as far as possible. Harry is N’Kealling us!

Leave the poor guy alone. We are not gonna get a better blocker at his contract value and one with some decent experience with patriots scheme. Harry will be there next season as well as insurance for wr3 or tight ends. Cutting him with the dead cap is useless. We can still salvage something out of him. This season is not that bad.

Watch the same play and in your mind exchagne the Pats player with a Bills player.

You probably say it touches him. I agree it's close, but like others have said, why would the ball change direction?

The damn ball hit his face mask. He was bumbling around back there like Stevie Wonder on steroids.

N'Keal Harry should sign with the Jets and just get this over with. They'll brag about getting a 1st rounder from Belichick for a 7th rounder and they will have paid too high a price. Harry can fit right in with all the other guys who cost them games and have his number retired.

Really … a worthless thread?

I think it touched Harry but it’s totally reasonable to have a conversation about the play and how it was officiated.

Even if one thinks they got the call right, questioning the process by which is was overturned seems reasonable. Personally, I thought it was close enough that an on-field review should’ve occurred to ensure due diligence was done.

Because that's what the post game thread is for, to discuss what happened in the game.

He'll probably start a thread on the horse collar PF and another on the pushing Allen OOB PF. He's got to meet his thread creation quota before 2021 is up I guess.

Anyway, the consensus from everyone watching on tv is it touched him. Given we don't have access to the super slow mo video that Lucy in the Sky has, questioning the call shouldn't warrant a seperate thread but whatever man. Knock yourself out. Play didn't matter at the end. We won despite NKeal's and the coaches blunder.

I thought it was clear and obvious it hit his facemask and changed direction.

What is not so clear and obvious is:

1. Why was N'Keal out there to field punts?

2. Why after he couldn't field it did N'Keal go after it as if were a live ball?

I get the sentiment. It needs to be conclusive to overturn the ref's call. But as others have said, there really is no plausible explanation for the trajectory change just at the moment it is slightly grazing his helmet or slightly missing his helmet. Yes the win was bad but the in changed right at and only the precise moment it was glancing by his helmet?

Did this hit Harry in the head too? There is plenty of video from last night to show that the wind could have changed the trajectory of the ball.

The standard is indisputable video proof to overturn the a call. Not "we need plausible evidence that the call made was correct".

Don't worry. If someone else started this thread, he would have been fine with it. It is he is just trying to bait me.

But if they initially called it a muffed punt, there would be no discussion because there is no indisputable evidence that shows it didn't hit him in the head. There just isn't indisputable evidence (at least in my mind) that shows it did hit him in the head. Which means the call shouldn't be overturned.

There's zero question in my mind that it hit his facemask as it falls down starting at the 14 second mark in the video you posted.

I didn't think it touched him at first, last night, until I saw that replay.

Giving the Bills the ball was correct.

Why was he chasing after the ball after it bounced? He couldn't make a decision, panicked and then chased the damn ball after it hit the ground. He's only good for blocking. Other than that, he keeps showing his not a very smart football player.

Bill sending him out there was a massive blunder. Glad it didn't cost them the game.

I think it is likely that it did, but I don't see indisputable proof in the video. The ball was changing trajectory all night due to the wind. So I see that it isn't indisputable because you do not actually see it hit his face mask.
