that is the stupid thing ive ever read, bringing race into a football forum you obviously dont understand my point, and you dont understand football or life

Spacecrime has a better understand of football and life than you do. Your reading comprehension leaves so much to be desired its pathetic. He was making a comparison. He was not calling you a racist. Please, stop. Every time you post you show just how ignorant you are.

Really? I'm not the ignorant one who has reading comprehension issues. You've proven that every time you posted.

And your reasoning about DeOssie is the LAMEST I've ever read. It shows that you can't be objective. To rule a guy a 6th round JUST because he went to an Ivy League School is pretty friggin Stupid.

you need to get some hobbies you take this football stuff way to hard,

wheres all your facts on how good of a player he is , the ivy league is a steo above high school, and one of the weakest leagues in college if you dont get it its notour fault

I just checked on the Internet and there were, apparently, 15 Ivy League players on NFL rosters in 2006. That means, I suppose, 1 or 2 a year who will make it. I also saw somewhere that a relatively high proportion of Ivy League players drafted made the roster -- surprisingly high, given that they tend to be drafted on the second day (usually late on the second day).

It can both be true that the overall level of Ivy League football is low and that it can produce a small but significant number of successful professionals.

I can think of two reasons. One, as dryheat indicated, is that talented players who could have played at a higher level may prefer the Ivy League standard of education (although the education at Stanford, Michigan, Notre Dame, Berkeley isn't too shabby). Another is that, since these players haven't been given the intense football experience of the major football colleges, they may have more potential for development once they reach the pros.

Oh brother. Why would I (or anyone else for that matter) take advice from someone who so indiscriminently excludes players just because they played in the Ivy League.

OH, its pretty ridiculous for you to say that the Ivy League is only a step above high school. You are basically saying that Ivy League is worse than D3 football by saying that. And you would be wrong.
