That's really impressive to see Chris Jones go the entire way, I don't think I've ever seen a defensive tackle do that.

Chris Jones is playing himself into rookie of the year debates he's top 3-5 when talking tackles/sacks for DT's in the NFL even though he's really only played 5 games

he's 23.....he can go the whole game

I think when Kelly returns, the rotation of Kelly, Jones, and Vellano is solid. I would say Kelly and Jones start and Vellano rotates in. I think Jones is a legitimate starter in the NFL. Vellano is more of a solid role player.

BTW, Jason Hatcher and Geno Atkins are only DTs in the entire league with more sacks than Chris Jones. Hatcher has 7 and Atkins has 5. And both players have played 8 games compared to Jones' 5. So on a per game game played scale, Jones leads the entire NFL in sacks by a DT.

Isn't the rookie sack record for DTs around 11? Ya never know...

Jones's per game pace would put him at 12 sacks.

If he can get coached up to stop the run, our major draft need for a DT goes down for the 2014 draft.
